… and I’m pretty sure my emotional melt down yesterday had to do with some serious nicotine withdrawals. I did go to the doctor and discovered that smoking can often times be harder for women than men – and that the withdrawal symptoms can be aggravated by hormones.
Apparently, quitting smoking can cause severe depression and irritability.
Yeah, I know. Duh. Everyone in the entire fucking WORLD knew that but me. I have quit smoking before – for long periods of time even (like longer than a year, I know, I’m an idiot) – and had never had attitude problems. At least, I don’t remember having attitude problems.
And I sure didn’t expect it to get harder as I went on. Everyone always says “it gets easier”… but day 6 is proving to be WAY more difficult than day 1 or 2. Thank God a few of you pointed out that this was common or I’d think I was seriously just losing my mind.
Man, to realize that something has that tight of a hold on you is… well, it’s humbling to say the least. I’m not a big fan of handing over control – especially to something as fucking retarded as nicotine.
*sigh* Oh well. Onward and upward and all that crap.
Oh yeah, and remember – tomorrow is my birthday!
If you would like to lavish me with flowers and diamonds or something else that isn’t on my wishlist, please contact Amy at Amysmusings dot com and she will be glad to supply you with a work address so that you may continue to worship me from afar without compromising your identity or my loot. She will, however, keep all requests on file should I ever turn up murdered by an internet stalker.
And trust me, that bitch keeps everything.
